Our Story
Emma
From an early age, Emma knew she was destined to work with animals. After graduating from university, she began her career as an Animal Welfare Assistant at The National Animal Welfare Trust, where she developed invaluable skills in understanding body language and communicating with dogs, cats, rabbits, and even farm animals.
It was during this time that Leia, her Border Collie, joined the family. Leia’s complex behavioural needs and joint issues gave Emma first-hand experience of supporting animals with additional challenges, shaping the compassionate approach she carries into her work today.
Emma went on to train as a Small Animal Hydrotherapist in Swindon, helping pets with rehabilitation and mobility. While she loved this work, her passion soon expanded into grooming, and she pursued her Level 3 Award in Dog Grooming to turn that passion into a profession.
With the arrival of Padme, her Papillon, Emma’s long-held dream of owning her own business became a reality. Today, The Pet’s Butler is the result of years of dedication to animal care, and Emma can’t wait to welcome you and your pets.
Charlie
Charlie is an experienced dog groomer with a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and more than six years of hands-on experience in the industry. Over the years, she has built a reputation for her calm, gentle approach, helping even the most nervous dogs gain confidence and feel relaxed in the salon. Her warm personality ensures that every dog in her care receives not only a professional groom, but also plenty of kindness and reassurance.
While she enjoys grooming all breeds, Charlie has a particular soft spot for Bichons and Schnauzers, taking pride in creating grooms that truly bring out their character and charm. Her technical skills, paired with her love for animals, make her a valued and trusted member of the team.
At home, Charlie shares her life with Wilf, a German Shepherd × Newfoundland, who loves splashing in the water but isn’t quite as keen on bath time — a quirk that always makes her smile.
Outside of grooming, Charlie treasures her time with her fiancé and their young son, enjoying family adventures and making memories together.
With her mix of professional expertise, natural compassion, and dedication, Charlie is loved by both her furry clients and their owners, making her an essential part of The Pet’s Butler team.
